Every Sunday from 8:00 am Evandale comes to life with over 200 stalls that come together at Falls Park. The Sunday Market is the perfect place to find a treasure, try some delicious food or meet the locals, and is conveniently located right next door to Briar Lane. John Glover, one of Australia’s most significant artists resided just outside of Evandale in Deddington from the 1830’s. Glover’s art depicted scenes of the unique landscapes of his property. His works are on display in both the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston, and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart, as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and in the Louvre, Paris.
The Glover Art Prize is an annual event with the 2023 exhibition held from Saturday 11 - Sunday 19 March. It is held in the Falls Park Pavilion which is located right next door to Briar Lane. For more information, visit: johnglover.com.au
